The QAFP Certification Bridge Path to CFP Certification offers two main options for QAFP professionals aiming to achieve CFP certification:
Option 1 (QAFP Certification to CFP Certification Bridge Program):
Initial Steps: Must be a current QAFP professional and have completed the FP Canada-Approved Advanced Curriculum Program and the FP Canada Institute QAFP Professional Education Program.
Bridge Program: Register and complete the QAFP Certification to CFP Certification Bridge Program.
CFP Examination: Upon completion of the Bridge Program, you are eligible to sit for the CFP examination.
Work Experience: Apply for CFP certification after passing the examination and completing three years of qualifying work experience.
Educational Requirements: Hold a post-secondary degree or meet alternative requirements based on work experience or duration of QAFP certification.
Option 2 (CFP Professional Education Program):
Initial Steps: Must be a current QAFP professional and complete an FP Canada-Approved Advanced Curriculum Program.
Professional Education: Register for and complete the FP Canada Institute™ CFP Professional Education Program after finishing the Introduction to Professional Ethics (IPE) course.
CFP Examination: Eligible to write the CFP examination after completing the professional education requirements.
CFP Certification: Apply for certification following the successful completion of the CFP exam and the required work experience.
QAFP Certification Bridge Path to CFP Certification , Both options require QAFP professionals to complete specific educational programs within one year of obtaining their QAFP certification.
